Privacy Policy

This policy covers the website at vatfiling.com. It is written to the UAE Personal Data Protection Law — Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 — and explains what this site does with personal data, which is deliberately very little.

Who controls your data

The data controller is Exiloz Management & Tax Consultant LLC ("Exiloz", "we"), a company licensed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at Office 110, 1st Floor, Burj Nahar Views Building, Omar Bin Khattab St, Deira, Dubai, UAE. vatfiling.com is our VAT filing service. Questions about this policy, or any request about your data, go to Info@exiloz.com.

What this website collects

This site has no contact form, no login, no newsletter sign-up and no payment page. It therefore collects no personal data you type in.

Two things still happen automatically, as on any website:

  • Server access logs. Our hosting provider records the requesting IP address, the time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser user-agent string. This is standard operation and security practice, and is the minimum needed to keep the site available and to investigate abuse.
  • Nothing else. No analytics, no advertising or social pixels, no session recording, no embedded third-party scripts or fonts. The fonts and images are served from this domain.

The calculators on this page — the deadline countdown, the penalty meter and the registration threshold check — run entirely in your browser. The figures you type are never sent to us or to anyone else, and are gone when you close the tab.

Why we may process it, and on what basis

Access logs are processed for our legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website, and to meet record-keeping and security obligations. Where you contact us afterwards — by email, phone or WhatsApp, or through the forms on exiloz.com — we process what you send in order to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to perform the engagement and meet obligations under UAE tax, anti-money-laundering and company law.

How long it is kept

Access logs are retained by the hosting provider for a short, rolling period and then overwritten. Data you send us as a client is kept for as long as the engagement requires and thereafter for the statutory retention periods that apply to accounting and tax records in the UAE, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

Who it is shared with

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Data may be handled by:

  • our hosting provider, which operates the servers this site runs on;
  • professional advisers, and government authorities such as the Federal Tax Authority, where the law requires disclosure or where you have instructed us to act for you.

Where personal data moves outside the UAE, we transfer it only to jurisdictions or on terms that provide an adequate level of protection, as required by Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021.

Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law you may ask us to:

  • confirm what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your data, or restrict or object to how we process it;
  • transfer your data to another controller, where technically feasible;
  • withdraw consent, where processing rests on consent.

Some rights are limited where we must keep records to comply with UAE tax and anti-money-laundering law. Send any request to Info@exiloz.com. We will respond within the period set by the law. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the UAE Data Office.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Links away from this site

Buttons here lead to exiloz.com, to WhatsApp, and to government sites such as tax.gov.ae and mof.gov.ae. Once you follow a link, that destination's own privacy policy governs what happens next. We are not responsible for their content or their data practices.

Security

We use HTTPS across the whole site, keep server software patched, and restrict who inside the firm can reach client records. No system is perfectly secure, but where a personal data breach is likely to prejudice your privacy we will notify you and the UAE Data Office as the law requires.

Changes

We update this policy when the site or the law changes. The revision date at the top always reflects the current version.
